A friend of mine said she spotted SFI signs in New Westminster, around 6th and 10th, near New Westminster Secondary School.
If I get a chance to check it out today, I'll let you know of my findings.

I just noticed an interesting tweet from YVR: “Film productions leaving in 2010 or have left BC for better tax credits: Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Percy Jackson, Fringe, Twilight BD.”

I think YVR’s tweet is a bit premature and not totally accurate. Percy Jackson for instance did not leave for better tax breaks, in fact it did film here and wrapped a few months ago. Summit has not made any announcement on BD but it seems likely they will be back in Vancouver. Supernatural and Smallville do appear to be leaving though.

upcoming filming
Two people I know have recently received letters in the mail from the Supernatural production team expressing interest in optioning their homes for possible filming.
This has happened before to other people I know, whose homes were unfortunately rejected :(

I heard a rumour that they are filming in the rose garden at UBC right now. I'm in class till 330 and then I'll go check it out but I thought I would throw it out there.

I mentioned in a post yesterday that there were signs pointing up United Blvd. It turns out that those arrows, if you keep following them, curve back around to Riverview. But they go through the side/back road. Sneaky right?
So I went this afternoon with a couple friends on our way back from our classes.
They have everything (trailers, food, security, etc etc) set up around the Crease building. That's the brick building you can see from the road when you drive by. So naturally we thought that they were somewhere around that building. We tried to get close, but security is SUPER tight. We acted all naive and asked what was going on from two different people and they both said that they were filming a 'movie'. Lies, but they were probably told to say that.
We had pretty much given up and were heading back to the bus stop before we saw these HUGE lights being turned on and pointed at the building just up from the Crease building. If you've ever been in the Riverview complex, it's the dark red one with the white pillars.
So yeah, something was obviously going on in there. There was security at the door of the building and a few cars parked around.
I didn't get too much information other than that because it started getting late.

I just saw signs on Lougheed Highway in Coquitlam pointing up towards United Boulevard. I was on the bus so I couldn't go up any farther, but if anyone can...

Supernatural is filming @ the corner of Byrne & Marine Way. Unfortunately, it's fenced in. It's the town facade right at the corner. You can't miss it and all the arrows and production trucks.

that they are filming outside City Hall in New Westminster today.
